Taking first place in the Boys 15-18 division was Joseph Trim of Tampa, FL. On an extremely tough course, Trim thrived. On Saturday, he knocked in three birdies that lead him to post a 71, the only below par round of the tournament. These birdies came on the long and narrow 11th hole and the windy 18th hole that were a challenge to most of the field. On Sunday, the blustery weather conditions caused Trim to score a bit higher but he was able to hold onto the win by 3 shots. Trim finished the weekend with a total tally of 149. Hot on Trim’s heels was Toks Pedro of the Junior Players Golf Academy. Pedro was in a tie for seventh place coming into round two on Sunday. During round one he posted a 79 with two birdies but two double bogeys as well. Round two, he came out with determination and focus that lead to a six stroke drop in score that was highlighted by three birdies on the second, 11th and 18th holes. The 73 he posted on Sunday earned him second place in the division and low final round by 3 shots . Finishing in third place was Kyle West of Lithia, FL. West was consistent throughout the event.
