The grip is one of the most important pieces of equipment in your bag. \u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">It is your direct connection to the golf club.<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0 If the grip is tattered or smoothed down from years of use, it is very difficult to maintain control of the club without increasing your hand pressure.\u00a0 As we all know, grip pressure that is too tight will create tension in the golf swing.\u00a0 Therefore, I recommend that you rip off those old grips and replace them with new grips that will offer you better control of the club when you swing.\u00a0 To extend the life of your grips, scrub them with soapy water (dish detergent works best) after every round.\u00a0 As a general rule of thumb,\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">you should regrip your clubs at least once a year<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">, perhaps at the beginning of each season.
