The boarding program accommodates students participating in the athletic and academic programs. Students are housed in 3 bedroom 3 1/2 bath villa units at the Tradewinds at Shelter Cove. Among Hilton Head's newest destinations, Shelter Cove is a thoughtfully planned community built to provide convenience with luxury.

At the Tradewinds at Shelter Cove the active life is an easy choice. Enjoy water sports, sailing, fishing, cruising, bike-riding or the simple joy of an early morning walk on the beach. Enjoy the harbor, with its natural and manmade attractions.

Each unit within the Tradewinds contains a bath for each bedroom, washer/dryer, living area, kitchen, and patio area. There is a pool on site for relaxing and exercise. The units are clean and neat and are regularly maintained by the JPGA housekeeping staff. Students are responsible for making their beds daily, washing their linens, towels and personal clothes on a weekly basis, keeping personal items neatly stored and the kitchen clean. Once a week, housekeeping staff cleans the bathrooms and kitchen, and vacuums each unit. Rooms are inspected daily by the Resident Chaperone(s) and routinely by the Director of Students.
  • The Director of Students and JPGA Golf Staff provide counseling, transportation and supervisory services.
  • Academics' curfew is 9:00pm on week nights with lights out by 11:00pm. Weekend lights out is midnight. This is enforced with nightly bed checks conducted by the Resident Chaperone(s).
  • Emergency medical assistance is available to students on a 24-hour basis by the Island Security who are trained in CPR and emergency first aid. Hospitals, walk-in clinics and specialists are all located within a five-mile radius of the golf school and student residences. Doctor visits are scheduled, as needed, and in consultation with parents.

  • Meals are provided by an Island catering service and are both nutritional and attractively served. Students are provided a weekly menu for breakfast and dinner. Students are supervised by Resident Chaperone(s) during breakfast and dinner.
