Kiawah Island Junior Challenge at Turtle Point GC

Kiawah Island Challenge

JPGA Student Jeremy Sisson wins the 2017 16-18 boys Kiawah Island junior Challenge at Turtle Point GC to make it 3 wins in a row.

Jeremy started the day 4 shots back of the lead but after 9 holes on Sunday he was tied for the lead. After 36 holes 3 players were tied and a playoff was needed. The 3 players were Jeremy Sisson (JPGA), Tyden Wilson (JPGA) and Jack Towarnicky. It took only 1 playoff hole as Jeremy holed a 48ft eagle putt on the par 5 10th hole for the victory.

Other notable JPGA finishes: Aidan McCloskey 4th, Erik MacDonald 5th and Nelson Ou 7th.

In the Girls 14-18 division Hanna Kiefer made up and 8 shot deficit on day 2 to be tied at the end of regulation and a 2nd playoff of the week would be needed. Unfortunately Hanna’s tee shot went through the fairway and into a bush that lead to a bogey and a loss.

Congratulations to all competitors and Kiawah Island Resort for a wonderful course and conditions.
